Sharon Shao

Sharon (she, her) is a Bay Area native actor, musician, and teaching artist. She earned a double BA in theatre arts and psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Sharon is thrilled to return to San Francisco Playhouse after The Paper Dreams of Harry Chin. Other local theatre credits include the holiday Panto in the Presidio (Presidio Theatre), Man of God (Shotgun Players), The Winter’s Tale and Good Person of Szechwan (California Shakespeare Theater), Vinegar Tom and Iron Shoes (Shotgun Players), The Tempest and Hamlet (Oakland Theater Project), and Utopia (Cutting Ball Theater). Aside from acting, she is passionate about teaching voice and drama to young artists, and singing with her cabaret band.
