Courtney Walsh

Courtney (she, her) is delighted to return to San Francisco Playhouse! After studying theatre at Yale University, she acted professionally in Los Angeles, and during an acting hiatus earned a law degree to represent abused children. Since returning to the stage in 2006, she has performed in ten countries, including credits in Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, Montpellier, Cardiff, Athens, Corfu, Sydney, and Auckland. Bay Area credits include Jerusalem and Seared (San Francisco Playhouse), Native Son (Marin Theatre Company), Phèdre and Timon of Athens (Cutting Ball Theater), Romeo and Juliet and Mother Lear (We Players), Dear Harvey (New Conservatory Theatre Center), Boys Go To Jupiter (Z Space), 3Girls Theatre Company, and twelve seasons with Stanford Repertory Theater. Courtney has received TBA Awards for outstanding performance, production, directing, and ensemble. Her co-created Mother Lear will be released soon as a film. Courtney is also a theater teacher, mother of four, dancer, and equestrienne. courtneywalsh.net
