Matthew is a violinist, violist, composer, puzzle designer, and writer. His Bay Area based klezmer and Eastern European folk trio Baymele released their debut album Kosmopolitn with Tsvey Brider in 2022. Matthew has performed with the Romanian and Moldavian band Mahala, with whom he recorded the 2020 album Californeasca. He earned a degree in ethnomusicology, computer science, and Jewish studies from Wesleyan University. Matthew was a software engineer at YouTube before founding his own puzzle and immersive experience design studio in 2019. He has played over 500 escape rooms and writes for Room Escape Artist.
