Wayne Wong

Wayne (he, him, his) makes his San Francisco Playhouse debut. An experienced character actor and singer, he has appeared in over eighty productions, mostly operas. Roles include Dr. Caius in The Merry Wives of Windsor, Gregory and Peter in Romeo and Juliet, Montano in Othello, Don Pedro in Beatrice and Benedick, Angelo in The Comedy of Errors, and Antonio in The Marriage of Figaro, where Opera News called him “notably strong.” Company credits include Opera Parallèle, Pocket Opera, West Edge Opera, Island City Opera, Playwrights’ Center of San Francisco, and Teatro Bocchino, where he performed in the world premiere of Il bobo sferrato by David Morris. Wayne is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, and Brown University. He is grateful for this opportunity.
