Craft a cocktail using the ingredients below and post it to the San Francisco Playhouse Facebook page. The winner will get two free tickets to Seared by Lolita Chakrabarti, as well as two concessions freebies! Just enter your submission as a comment on this post, and we’ll choose the best concoction on Friday, September 30th. A hint: the name of your drink should relate to our next show, Seared.

Put your thinking caps on and get to work! Be sure that you’re clear on ingredients, proportions, garnishes and steps to making the cocktail. Now, bring out your inner mixologist and give us your best concoction for Seared.

• The cocktail must use no more than four ingredients (exceptions may be made)
• Cannot contain more than two liquors
• Nothing that requires muddling

 

Liquors – Vodka, clear rum, dark rum, whiskey, scotch, bourbon, brandy, tequila, Kahlua, pisco and gin.

Mixers – Grenadine, triple sec, sweet and sour, simple syrup, orange juice, pineapple juice, cranberry juice, apple juice, olive juice, lime juice, ginger beer, tonic, soda water, coke, diet coke, sprite, ginger ale, lemonade, coffee, decaf coffee, chocolate sauce, sweet vermouth, dry vermouth, crème de menthe, hot water.

Garnishes – Maraschino cherries, oranges, limes, lemons, cinnamon sticks, olives, cocktail onions, salt, sugar, chocolate syrup, whipped cream.

Glasses – Wine glasses, champagne flutes, glass mugs, highballs, rocks glasses and martini glasses.
