Andre is an actor, collective member, and board president at the Tony Award-winning San Francisco Mime Troupe. He was recently featured in several world premieres, including Push/Pull by Harry Davis (Central Works), Under Ben Bulben by Kate Hawley (Jewel Theatre Company), and Neighborhood Stories in a piece by Pulitzer-nominated playwright Amy Freed. He was nominated for a TBA Award for his role in The 39 Steps (Ross Valley Players) and a San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle award for his portrayal of John Wilkes Booth in Assassins (Hillbarn Theatre & Conservatory). Favorite past roles include Anthony in Sweeney Todd, and the Shakespearean men Romeo, Hamlet, and Macbeth. He has also performed at Mountain Play, 6th Street Playhouse, Cutting Ball Theater, Word for Word Performing Arts Company, and Stanford Repertory Theater. He earned his BA in theatre at Stanford University. Upcoming projects include The Last Goat for Central Works, and playing Pecker the Rooster in Peter Pan at the Presidio Theatre. andreamarotico.com
