Terrance Austin Smith

Terrance is thrilled to be back at San Francisco Playhouse. He last understudied here during the critically acclaimed production of Barbecue by Robert O’Hara. He won a Shellie Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the Town Hall Theatre production of Brooklyn Bridge. He was also a runner-up for the BroadwayWorld San Francisco Regional Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play (Local) for his performance in Richard III at African-American Shakespeare Company. Terrance has also performed with the Center REPertory Theatre, Marin Shakespeare Company, Contra Costa Civic Theatre, 6th Street Playhouse, and Lorraine Hansberry Theatre. He toured nationally and performed overseas in New Ross, Ireland. On screen, Terrance provides the voice for the coolest locomotive alive, DJ Train Trax, in the hit Netflix cartoon series Go! Go!
