Nicole Helfer

Nicole is an award-winning choreographer, director, performing artist, and has been a dance and theatre teacher for over twenty-five years. Most recently she played Cassie in A Chorus Line here at San Francisco Playhouse, for which she was also choreographer. Additional performance credits include Marian Paroo in The Music Man, Fantine in Les Misérables (Shellie Award), Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors (Shellie Award nomination), Velma Kelly in Chicago (San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle award nomination), Betty Schaeffer in Sunset Boulevard (Shellie Award nomination), Sarah in The Lover by Harold Pinter, Kate Monster and Lucy T. Slut in the regional premiere of Avenue Q, Miraid in Brimstone (SFBATCC and Shellie Award nominations), and Kitty in Sweet Charity, as well as featured ensemble roles in A Gentlemen’s Guide to Love and Murder and Me and My Girl. She has choreographed and been a swing for Cabaret, Groundhog Day The Musical, and Follies here at the Playhouse.
