Monica Rose (she, her) is a Brazilian-American singer, actor, and educator, thrilled to make her San Francisco Playhouse debut. Since moving from Virginia to San Francisco in 2021, she has received a San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle nomination for Best Principal Actor for Ghost Quartet (Oakland Theater Project). Additional credits include Annunciation and Who’s-Dead McCarthy: Stories by Kevin Barry (Word for Word Performing Arts), She Loves Me and Falsettos (42nd Street Moon), The Mystery of Edwin Drood and Iolanthe (Lamplighters Music Theatre), Cinderella (Berkeley Playhouse), The Hairy Ape (Eugene O’Neill Foundation), and The Sound of Music and Oklahoma! (Cinnabar Theater). Monica Rose earned a master of music degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where she studied opera. She teaches private voice lessons and works with Accompany, a nonprofit community choir.
