Malia Abayon

Malia (she, her) is beyond grateful to make her debut at San Francisco Playhouse. Last season she performed an ensemble role and understudied Nina in In the Heights (Center REPertory Company) as well as Swing and understudy for Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors and a Kit-Kat Dancer in Cabaret (6th Street Playhouse). Other favorite roles include Mimi in Rent, Adela in Bernarda Alba, The Acid Queen in The Who’s Tommy, and Revelation: The Musical (Off-Broadway). Malia earned a BA in dramatic arts from the University of California, Davis and trained at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway in New York. She is grateful to continue working in theatre as a teaching artist and performer. Malia also teaches Inferno Hot Pilates classes in her spare time. maliaabayon.com | @Malialia27
