
Dean is elated to return to San Francisco Playhouse where he previously performed in Indecent and Groundhog Day: The Musical (for which he received a San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle award). Other Bay Area credits include the title role in Hamlet, Angels in America (Oakland Theater Project), Torch Song (Marin Theatre – SFBATCC award), Born With Teeth (Aurora Theatre Company SFBATCC award), A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Good Person of Szechwan, The Winter’s Tale (California Shakespeare Theater), and Octet by Dave Malloy (Berkeley Repertory Theatre). New York credits include performances at the Guggenheim and Metropolitan Museums, plus the world premiere of Tambo & Bones at Playwrights Horizons. Regional credits include over thirty productions across the country, including shows with Asolo Repertory Theatre, Portland Stage, the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, and Vermont Shakespeare Festival.
